Renewable Heat Premium Payments Apply Now

The Renewable Heat Premium Payment scheme is a government scheme that gives money to householders to help them buy renewable heating technologies – solar thermal panels, heat pumps and biomass boilers. As from next year, the Renewable Heat Incentive will expand to cover the domestic sector and the Green Deal will come into force, so this is a short-term scheme making one-off payments that will also allow us to learn more about what people think of these technologies and how they perform in a variety of conditions.

New! Tower Tank Rainwater Harvesting System – Halsted Rain

Halsted Rain Ltd will be launching a new Tower Tank Rainwater Harvesting System at Ecobuild 2011 which expands the Company’s product range to cover larger domestic and commercial installations up to and including systems with a storage capacity of 3000 litres. This above ground unit is a fully integrated rainwater harvesting system, comprising a filter diverter, twin-tank water storage, pump package and automatic mains water back up.

The introduction of the Tower Tank System follows the successful launch last year of the Company’s Super Slim Wall Tank System that has set new industry standards for ease of installation, reliability and affordability. Both products are for harvesting rainwater for toilet flushing and garden irrigation; and are leading the introduction of modular and slim profile systems into the UK construction market.

An entry level Tower Tank System has a storage capacity of 1400 litres and a footprint of only 1400 x 700 cm. Rain diverted from an existing downpipe is filtered via the Company’s market leading Frogmouth and Lazy Lizard Filters before being delivered to services via an automatic pump. In the event of there being insufficient stored rainwater to meet demand the system is automatically supplied via a mains water valve mechanism.
