Grow Your Business – the smart advice event at St Ives Green House

Through the Sustainable Efficiency East (SEE) project Cambridgeshire County Council, Huntingdonshire District Council and Bedford College are offering a FREE evening giving you smart advice on saving energy and money within your business.

On 20 July 2011 from 4.30pm until 7.30pm the St Ives Green House at 1 St Audrey Lane, St Ives will be host for the evening, giving visitors the chance to see some of the technologies in situ.

Come along to an evening of support and advice on improving your businesses environmental credentials.

• Take advantage of a minimum of two free days of support from the SEE project to give your premises an energy audit. If savings can be made you can take advantage of a £500 grant to implement these changes by signing the Huntingdonshire Business Environmental Pledge.

• Talk to one of our experts and find out what funding opportunities are out there for SMEs.

• Experts in construction training, SmartLIFE and Bedford College, will be able to point you in the right direction of how to up-skill your staff to take advantage of the growing green agenda. Learn about an innovative range of training courses with a focus on sustainable construction.

• Take a guided tour of the green house which has been retrofitted, increasing its energy performance certificate rating from an E to a B.  See renewable technology and refurbishment in practice. Guided tours will run for an hour starting at 4.30pm and 6.30pm.

• SEE offers a free diagnosis of working practices; highlighting opportunities that can help reduce costs and improve business practices through resource and energy efficiency.
